Exciting news! The Mental Health Education and Resource Centre Library is now open! We would like to thank everyone for their patience while we found new premises and purchased a whole new collection. If you have any of our old resources you are welcome to bring them back at any time or call us and we will send you a postal bag.
The updated Mental Health directory is online, check out the Directory link to the left. Hard copies of the directory are now available at the 2010 price of $10 per copy.
We provide a FREE mental health Library for everyone in Christchurch & the
South Island of New Zealand. Our friendly and experienced staff are here to help you navigate your way around the mental health system.

Our free mental health library is open to the public and provides information on all aspects of mental health and mental illness. We have available for loan - books, DVD's, CD's, and videos on topics such as depression, eating disorders, grief, professional development, bipolar (manic depression), post natal depression, post traumatic stress disorder, personality disorder, schizophrenia, anxiety, phobia, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), agoraphobia, ADHD, children's health, abuse, violence, personal development, psychosis, medications, counselling, CDHB Services, personal experience and much more! Pamphlets are available at no cost.
